Panasonic announces plans following merger of its three companies targeting to build up growth with ‘Total Living Solution’

Panasonic Solutions (Thailand) Co., Ltd. or PSTH has announced plans following the recent integration of three companies that aims to strengthen its sales team under concept One Panasonic & One Team. As part of its strategy to drive sustainable growth in a new business identified as ‘Total Living Solution’, the company seeks to strengthen contacts with B2B customers and provide innovative solutions that serve diverse needs. PSTH aims to be Professional Solutions Provider for Thailand and sets a revenue target of THB 28 billion by the year 2030.

Mr. Hidekazu Ito, CEO of Panasonic Group in Thailand, said that effective from April 2022, Panasonic Corporation will transition to a holding company system and change its corporate name to "Panasonic Holdings Corporation". The Panasonic Group will be divided into operating companies. Each operating company will thoroughly implement autonomous management based on clearly defined responsibility and authority. As a result, each operating company will work to significantly enhance its business competitiveness in each industry.

And as one of the operating companies, New Panasonic Corporation will continue to contribute to ‘Lives,’ outlining a business philosophy that focuses on promoting the       well-being of People and a sustainable Planet and Society.

To comply with the global plans and respond to market challenges and new opportunities, Panasonic in Thailand are integrating three companies under one roof. Since January 4, 2022, Panasonic Life Solutions Sales (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (PLSSTH), has renamed itself Panasonic Solutions (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (PSTH). Meanwhile, In April 2022 onwards, two companies, namely Panasonic Management Thailand Co., Ltd. (PMT) – the country headquarter, and Panasonic Siew Sales (Thailand) Co., Ltd. – a distributor of System, Consumer AV, and Lighting products, will be merged and operated under the PSTH umbrella to maximize the synergy and efficiency. In 2021, the sales revenue of these three companies are THB 14 billion, representing 131% year-on-year growth.

The integration of local businesses will strengthen PSTH's sales team, combining marketing, design, and sales to propel business growth under the concept of One Panasonic & One Team. The centralized sales contact will streamline operation and improve B2B customer supports across residential and non-residential markets, including Housing, Hotel, Office store, Factory, Warehouse, Hospital & Nursing home, as well as Business to Government (B2G) customers.

PSTH's goal is to offer 'Total Solutions for Living Spaces.' The company implements a strategy to systematize multiple products into groups of solutions rather than focusing on single products. Three groups of solutions to be offered by PSTH are Energy-Saving Solutions that respond to a decarbonized society; Comfort & Wellness Solutions designed to promote quality of life, well-being, and serve aging population; and Smart & Safety Solutions that respond to changes in consumer behaviors in the New Normal era. Meanwhile, four potential business areas in which PSTH expects to see growth by leveraging Panasonic's strengths are Consumer Market, Housing & Residential, Office & Factory Warehouse, and Total Living Solution – a new business that the company seeks to penetrate.

To tap into the residential market, Panasonic will be introducing Total Living Solution showcased through an ‘Experience Center’ that we launched in early 2021, the center highlights Sustainability & Wellness Ideas for Living, At the center, Panasonic displays designs and construction of living solutions, including Energy-saving Solutions, Air Quality Solutions, and Comfortable Sleeping Solutions.

For the non-residential market, the company plans to introduce Smart Office Solutions, highlighting flexible deployment to serve customer needs. Three innovative solutions to be introduced later this year are Stress-Free Solutions such as Smart Box with easy unlocking via Bluetooth; Anti-Virus Solutions such as Air-E, Ziaino, and antimicrobial floor; and Energy Saving Solutions including lighting, sensors, and energy management.

“Stepping forward to propel sustainable growth in Thailand, another home to Panasonic, PSTH is aiming to provide Energy-saving, Wellness, Smart & Safety Living Solutions through collaboration with local partners as Professional Solutions Provider for Thailand by the year 2030 with a target sales revenue of THB 28 billion or 200% growth compared to the revenue achieved in 2021,” said Mr. Ito.
